Product Description
Really incredible piece. This was made by the indigenous Yupik tribe of Alaska. They are related the the Inuit tribe and would have used this piece to draw pictures in the snow. This was a story telling tradition of the people and they used special tools to do this. This is one of those pieces. This snow knife measures 16.5" long and has beautiful trimmed turkey feathers along the bottom half. The handle end has Bovine bone detailing that looks to be very old and possibly missing parts. The wood is beautifully done and has great detailing to it. Its signed on the handle end. Please see all photos for details and feel free to ask any questions.
