Japanese Tea Set - Antique - Late 19th Century. Evaluated at ValueMyStff.com (see photo):DESCRIPTION
In the style of Yaby Meizan, each piece
painted with small birds amongst autumn
foliage, comprising a circular teapot, tea
caddy (cover missing, and six small
teabowls, seal mark to base, all in the
original pine box inscribed and with a red
seal mark.

NOTES
This is a difficult one to call as if it is Meizan,
it will have a very much higher value; even
with the two damaged bowls. Meizan
usually signs with script characters and not
like this seal, which rings a slight bell, but I
cannot actually place it. If it is just a minor
piece in the style of Y.M. then the value
should serve. Please show this to the
Japanese Department of a good auction
house for more detail.
