    WONDERFUL AUTHENTIC NATIVE AMERICAN ARTIFACTS OF STONE TOOLS FROM CELILIO FALLS OREGON ON THE COLUMBIA RIVER. FASCINATING STONE TOOLS USED BY NATIVE AMERICANS IN THEIR DAILY LIVING. LONG STONE LOOKS LIKE IT HAS BEEN CARVED DOWN ON ONE END FOR CHOPPING. AXE HEAD ALSO HAS BEEN CARVED DOWN ON ONE END FOR THE USE OF CHOPPING. THERE IS A SMALL AND LARGE ROUND STONE. CELILIO FALLS AND THE DALLES WERE STRATEGICALLY LOCATED AT THE BORDER BETWEEN CHINOOKAN AND SAHAPTIAN SPEAKING PEOPLES AND SERVED AS THE CENTER OF AN EXTENSIVE TRADING NETWORK ACROSS THE PACIFIC PLATEAU AND AS A MELTING POT FOR CULTURES WHICH FISHED AND TRADED THERE. THE WISHRAM PEOPLE LIVED ON THE NORTH BANK VILLAGE OF NIX-LUIDIX WHILE THE WASCO LIVED ON THE SOUTH BANK. ON MARCH 10, 1957 THE FALLS WAS FLOODED DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DALLES DAM.
