Up for auction is a Sioux hand Forged Buffalo head effigy Pipe Tomahawk. It has a beaded drop. it is 24-1/2" long overall Hawk. File Branded. It has a beaded drop that is 13-1/2" long by 1" wide. It has 9 tin tinklers on it, brain tanned leather Sinew Sewn. The hawk has a nice patina on it. It is pictured in Who's Who #11. It is also pictured in the Prehistoric Antiquities and pictured in Collectors of Prehistoric Art Volume 1 on page 52 in color. The head on this piece is very neat. It is 11-3/8" long. 4 sided eye. Blade is an effigy of a Buffalo. hand Forged. Made from a gun Barrel. The blade is 2-1/2" wide. The bowl is oblong, 1" in diameter by 1/2" at the 8 sided hole.
